The release date for the [REC] remake "QUARANTINE" has now been
moved. The movie is set to be released on
October 10, which is just a
week ahead of the previous date. It's not much of a push, but it'll do.
We've also updated our coverage for the movie in case you haven't
noticed. In the movie television reporter Angela Vidal (Carpenter) and
her cameraman (Harris) are assigned to spend the night shift with a
Los Angeles Fire Station. After a routine 911 call takes them to a small
apartment building, they find police officers Wilensky (Short) and
McCreedy (Fiscella) already on the scene in response to blood curdling
screams coming from one of the apartment units. Unbeknownst to
them, a woman has contracted a rare strain of rabies.

When they try to leave the building with those injured from a wild
attack by the infected woman, they find that they’ve been locked in.
Indeed, there are police, SWAT and CDC crews securing the building.
But phones, internet, televisions and cell phone access have been cut-
off, and officials are not relaying information to those quarantined
inside. Written and directed by John Erick Dowdle and co-written by
Drew Dowdle, the film stars Jay Hernandez, Jennifer Carpenter,
Columbus Short, Steve Harris, Johnathon Schaech and Andrew Fiscella.
