Story: A serial killer mutates with a chemical inside a sewer, to become a
monster made of human waste just as the FBI and police are onto him.

I honestly don't know what was on my mind when I decided to watch this
movie. It's always fun to watch something so outrageous and funny and
Monsturd just so happens to be one of the funniest low budget films I've ever
seen. Just the films title and tag line alone had me laughing in the beginning.
Just look the poster and tell me that it doesn't give you at least a giggle. I
stayed up and checked out another one of the Horror Channel's Midnight
movies. I missed the last few showings so I went and watched this film and boy
was it one of the weirdest low budget films I've watched in a long time. I never
watch these kind of movies to be fully entertained and I sure as hell don't take
them to seriously, I can't picture anyone taking this movie seriously. I watch
these films for the fun and laughs and Monsturd is filled with humor and cheesy

In the movie we listen to the story of a little girl. She tells the story of a town
called Butte and their encounter with a sewer monster. There is this
experimental company called DuTech and they participate in weird experiments
in hopes to earn a profit. One day a couple of guys dump this deadly waste out
into the sewer system. Before you know it an escaped convict hides out into
the sewers and mixes with the deadly chemical, turning him into a turd
monster. The turd monster then starts to haunt the town by appearing out of
toilets in a blood thirst rage, leaving a bloody/shitty mess with messages on
the wall such as
"Don't get caught with your pants down". The man behind the
deadly waste goes into the sewers in hope to control his creation and use him
for more experiments. In the mean time Agent Hannigan and the two Deputies
of the town try to come up with a way to kill the evil monster before the big
annual Chili Cook off.

Just looking back at the plot makes laugh, as I mentioned before there is no
way you can ever take this movie seriously. It's made to be silly and make you
laugh. It's most obvious with the films dialog. In the film there's so much toilet
humor and funny clever dialog. The acting in the film is a whole other story. If
you're used to seeing these kind of films then you should know how the acting
goes. Some of it is just unbearable bot for the most part its pretty decent. It's
not like you're going to watch a film called Monsturd for the acting anyway.
What I liked most about this film was that it reminded me of a lot of the old
school 60's and 70's era of monster movies. For me Monsturd would fall under
the same category. Each death scene in this film are humorous in its own way.
Each kill includes a mixture of blood and brown crap. It didn't really faze me to
watch people getting killed off while getting buckets of crap on them, it was the
thought of it that was pretty disgusting. Just thinking of a turd monster
reminds me of the movie Dogma with the whole shit demon thing.

Overall I thought Monsturd was a fun low budget film. It's a neat popcorn film
and it's perfect for the occasion of friends, invite a group of buddies and watch
it together. Maybe if you include alcohol you just may have a good time.
Monsturd isn't the
"greatest movie ever made" but it's a fun film which will
have you laughing even if you don't like it in the end. Just watch it and expect a
cheesy good time. The plot and overall approach is funny, the acting is bad and
the dialog is very humorous. If you enjoy these kind of pictures then Monsturd
just may be your cup of tea. If not then you'll most likely think of it as one big
giant waste.
