Review:

Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2 is possibly the worst sequel of all time.
Number one reason: 45 minutes of the original movie were used in the first
part of the film. So I admit, I did some fast forwarding. Number two: Eric
Freeman who played the part of Billy's brother Ricky from the first Silent
Night, Deadly Night. The movie opens up with Ricky talking to a psychiatrist
accounting the horrors of the first movie and all the horrible stuff he went
through. So after we re-watch the first movie which was edited down to
about 40+ minutes later we are blessed with new footage! Isn't that great?!

So the film picks up where the first movie ends. Ricky tells the doc of his
experiences growing up. He talks about being adopted at 12 years old (even
though Ricky was 14 when we ended Part 1, but I may just be a little more
detail oriented then most people). When he reaches teen hood he witnesses
a man trying to rape a woman and suddenly flashes back to the brutal
images of his mother getting raped from the first film even though Ricky was
a newborn at the time but shockingly could recall the instance in graphic
detail.

So Ricky proceeds to run over this random man with a tiny Jeep Wrangler
over and over. The woman thanks him and they part ways. Now we move to
Ricky being 18 and a beefcake just like his bro in Part 1. He kills some more
people for being naughty and we're graced with cheap effects and ridiculous
one liners. Ricky talks about his very first girlfriend Jennifer, played by scream
queen Elizabeth Kaitan (Assault of the Killer Bimbos, Friday the 13th Part VII,
and Waitress!). She is in my opinion, the best and only good thing about this
movie.

So Ricky kills more people, I continue to not care, and he decides for the
finale of our show he's going to take on good 'ol Mother Superior who is not
played by the original actress. No original actors here (well unless you count
the archive footage). So the whole time I'm thinking' Eric Freeman must have
gotten his inspiration from the Shining, and if that was so, he did the worst
Jack Nicholson impression I have ever seen. My theory seemed to be likely
since at the final chase scene between Mother Superior and Ricky, Ricky axes
down a bit of the door, moves close in and says something ridiculous which
was obviously a rip off of 'The Shining.' The movie ended, and I was glad.
