Plot: The film starts six months after the Rage virus has spread throughout the city of
London. The United States Army has restored order and is repopulating the quarantined
city, when a carrier of the Rage virus enters London and unknowingly re-ignites the spread
of the deadly infection, wreaking havoc on the entire population.

We've updated our 28 WEEKS LATER coverage in a very big way. Not only did we add the
poster art but we also added in a bunch of pictures from the movie courtesy of BlackFilm.
com. Six months after the rage virus has annihilated the British Isles, the US Army
declares that the war against infection has been won, and that the reconstruction of the
country can begin. Under the strict supervision of the U.S. Military, the first wave of
refugees is allowed back into the city. Among them are Don (Robert Carlyle), his new
girlfriend Scarlett (Rose Byrne), and Don’s two children.

Don lost his wife during the original infection, while Scarlett lost her entire family. All
seems under control until a new carrier of the virus makes his way within the quarantined
area. As the only known live specimen, he becomes a vital tool to the scientists who hope
to learn from their discovery. Call it carelessness or call it bad luck, but the virus
eventually spreads once again and now may be even more difficult to contain than the
first time around. Expect to see this film by
May 11th, 2007.

actors/actresses set to star in 28 WEEKS LATER are Robert Carlyle, Rose Byrne, Jeremy
Renner, Harold Perrineau, Catherine McCormack, Imogen Poots, Idris Elba and Mackintosh
Muggleton.





08/31/06-

It appears that one of our favorite actors is going to be in the 28 DAYS LATER sequel. We
just found out that Harold Perrineau Jr is the latest actor to join 28 WEEKS LATER. A lot of
you may recognize Harold from such shows as OZ and THE LOST, or even as Link in the
MATRIX sequels. Now he'll be confronting evil in this new sequel.





08/24/06-

According to Variety, Jeremy Renner has been cast in a lead role in "28 Weeks Later," the
Fox Atomic sequel to the zombie thriller "28 Days Later," according to Variety. Story picks
up six months after the end of the first pic, in which a virus spreads, leaving few
survivors. Special Forces is working to restore order and helping repopulate London when a
carrier of the virus unknowingly ignites a reinfection. Renner will play Sgt. Doyle, one of
the heroes of the sequel.

Juan Carlos Fresnadillo is directing from a script by Rowan Joffe. Andrew MacDonald,
Andrew Garland and Danny Boyle produce. Boyle directed the first installment. Renner, who
starred in the indie drama "Dahmer," has most recently been seen in "North Country" and
"Lords of Dogtown."





07/20/06-

A director has been attached to the new sequel 28 WEEKS LATER. Juan Carlos Fresnadillo
will be directing the movie which is said to hit theatres May 11th, 2007.  28 Weeks Later
picks up six months after the Rage virus has decimated the city of London. The US Army
has restored order and is repopulating the quarantined city, when a carrier of the Rage
virus enters London and unknowingly re-ignites the spread of the deadly infection,
wreaking havoc on the entire population.
