UPDATES

12/11/07-

Seeing that the new ALIENS VS PREDATOR movie hits theatres in 13 days, we thought it
would be best to give you another update before the film is released. We've added a
handful of stills to the gallery.

The folks over at IGN have posted up an R-rated clip from ALIENS VS PREDATOR:
REQUIEM. Be sure that you're old enough to check out the clip. If not, then just make a
date up and enjoy the gory goodness that is AVP-R.

If you head over to Filmweb you can check out the international trailer for ALIENS VS
PREDATOR: REQUIEM.

Remember the end of AVP where we got to see the alien-predator hybrid? Well it's been
confirmed before that the little bastard would be in the new AVP film. As shown in the
trailer, Fox has sent us a still from ALIENS VS PREDATOR: REQUIEM. In this new still it
shows the lone Predator known as Wolf fighting the hybrid creature. This new AVP film is
guaranteed to receive an R-rating, which means that we'll get to see all the good stuff.
Aliens munching on skulls, Predators skinning unworthy prey and a dozen or more head
shots (as shown in the film's gruesome trailer). Let's just hope that it will correct the
mistakes made by Paul W.S. Anderson.

In this follow-up to the worldwide disappointing hit ALIEN VS. PREDATOR, the iconic
monsters from two of the scariest film franchises ever, wage war in an American
Midwestern town - with the residents caught in the middle. Written by Shane Salerno and
directed by Greg and Colin Strause, the film stars Reiko Aylesworth, Shareeka Epps, Gina
Holden, David Hornsby, Johnny Lewis, John Ortiz and Steven Pasquale. The film will be
hitting US theatres on
December 25th and in the UK on January 18th.

We were wondering when the were going to start casting for AvP 2. According to Variety,
Reiko Aylesworth and Steven Pasquale have landed the lead roles in ALIEN VS. PREDATOR
2. We're not sure about what kind of roles they will fill but we do know that these are the
first of more casting news to come. We don't have official plot details so we don't know
what will happen in this new sequel, but we do know that the movie will be directed by
Greg and Colin Strause.

In the first AVP an expedition of archaeologists on Earth discover an Aztec temple hidden
under the Antarctic circle, housing a host of Alien creatures. A group of coming-of-age
Predators have also come to the temple, as it has long been a training ground for their
race. From there on, it's Aliens vs. Predators, with the humans caught in the middle.

07/31/06-

Fangoria reported that ALIEN VS. PREDATOR: SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST will begin
shooting in Vancouver, British Columbia on September 23 and wrap December 14. AVP’s
Tom Woodruff Jr. and Alec Gillis of Amalgamated Dynamics, veterans of the first AVP and
all the previous ALIEN sequels, will encore on the creature FX. The Shane Salerno script
places the battling extraterrestrials on U.S. soil; FX pros Colin and Greg Strauss make their
feature directorial debuts on the December 21, 2007 Fox release.

What started off as a rumor turned out to be official news. Attached to direct the ALIEN
VS PREDATOR sequel are Greg and Colin Strause.
Alien Experience was the first source to
report that Greg and Colin Strause have officially signed with Fox to direct the upcoming
Alien vs. Predator 2. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the Strause brothers they
have been visual effects supervisors for such films as Constantine, Fantastic Four, The
Fog, xXx: State of the Union etc. So you can see that the duo is usually noted for their
special effects work. The official announcement is also up on the Strause Brothers'
website. No word on the official plot yet but we'll most likely be seeing more of the two big
science fiction icons throwing fists.

04/21/06-

We posted information about this movie a long time ago, but now it looks like it's officially
going to be made. 20th Century Fox has announced Alien vs Predator 2 for August 10th,
2007. No word yet on who will be directing, writing and starring in the film but lets hope
for the best.
