GUTS: THE RETURN OF THE 80'S HORROR MOVIE" will play followed by a Q&A with the
filmmakers and some of the cast.
Blood And Guts: The Return of the 80’s Horror Movie makes its worldwide debut Thursday,
July 13 with an all-out bloody bash at LA’s indie-film haven Cine Space (6356 Hollywood
Blvd., Hollywood, CA 90028). All the stars of the film will be in attendance, with red carpet
arrivals beginning at 6:00 p.m. followed by an invitation-only screening. At 10:00 p.m.,
the doors will re-open to the public for “Murder McGee’s Totally 80’s Blood And Guts Dance
Party.” Fans of the film and the horror genre are invited to meet and mingle with the stars
of this soon-to-be cult hit.
“Blood And Guts is really a loving tribute to those 80’s horror movies that people love to
make fun of,” says writer/director Jeffrey Craig Smith. “A young teenage girl is alone in a
spooky house, she hears a strange, unidentifiable noise in the dark and instead of running
out the front door, she decides it’s the perfect time to take a shower. Brilliant! I love
those movies. I mean, most of them really suck, but I love them.”
The story of Blood And Guts is a classic tale. . . It’s the 1980’s and a group of high school
kids are getting together to hold a séance in a haunted house off the old highway. All the
typical 80’s horror movie characters are there: the cool hero, the innocent girlfriend, the
goth chick, the tough guy, the beautiful blonde girl, the shy guy in love with the beautiful
blonde girl, a couple of lipstick lesbians and two big geeks.
In true 80’s horror movie fashion, weird things start happening around the house. . .
people are dying preposterously bloody deaths, girls are getting naked for no apparent
reason and people walk into pitch black rooms and say things like “Is someone in here?”
As the poor, hapless kids are sliced and diced, it’s up to our hero to either lead them to
safety or watch as the house is filled with blood and…well, you know!
Blood And Guts stars Jovan Meredith as Kane and Ashley Schneider as Julie, both making
cinematic history with their feature film debuts. Also featured are Devin Marble, Lindsay

Brett, Will Deutsch (The Good German), Jamie Carson (Hunger Pains), Christina De Rosa

Longing, Number Two Regret).
