I don't see how we could have missed this yesterday. The DVD cover art for BOOGEYMAN
2 has appeared online. As we expected, it's already getting poor reviews. Surprising aint it?
I remember back when this was announced. It was shortly after BOOGEYMAN hit theatres.
We didn't get to follow the development of its sequel BOOGEYMAN 2, but we do have the
DVD specs. We just found out that Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will release
BOOGEYMAN 2 (why?) in an Unrated Director’s Cut DVD on January 8th. According to
Fangoria, the sequel to the theatrical hit stars the Tobin Bell as Dr. Mitchell Allen, a
psychiatrist overseeing several troubled patients at a mental facility. One of them, a girl
named Laura, has been tormented by fears of the Boogeyman ever since she saw the
deadly specter kill her parents, and it soon follows her to the institution and begins a
bloody killing spree.
Directed by Jeff Betancourt, the film also stars Renee O’Connor, Mae Whitman, David
Gallagher, Johnny Simmons and Tom Lenk. The disc will be presented in both widescreen
and fullscreen transfers. Special features on the DVD include: Audio commentary by
Betancourt and Sieve, Audio commentary by Tobin Bell, Danielle Savre and producers
Steve Hein and Gary Bryman, Bringing Fear to Life: Makeup Effects from Storyboards to
Screen featurette and Storyboards.
