UPDATES

01/17/07-

The first picture from THE HILLS HAVE EYES 2 has been posted up online. Like most of the
other goodies, this one is now apart of our coverage. Oh and to answer most of your
questions, this is NOT a remake to the previous HILLS sequel which made its debut back in
1985. This new movie is a sequel to last years remake.

Did you miss seeing the HILLS HAVE EYES 2 teaser trailer  in theatre! Well have no fear,
your friends at Horror-Fanatics.com got you covered. If you head over to
youtube you
can check out the official HILLS HAVE EYES 2 teaser trailer. To answer some of your
questions, this isn't a sequel to the crappy original 1985 HILLS sequel. This new movie is a
direct sequel to the remake that wowed us in theatres.

Now that's what we're talking about! This beats the hell out of the previous HILLS HAVE
EYES 2 posters. As you can see the new poster art for THE HILLS HAVE EYES 2 has made
its way online. I'm surprised that the MPAA didn't reject this one. Now we can all lay
peacefully with a smile on our face.

12/04/06-

The folks over at Eat my Brains posted up an article which displays the MPAA rejected
(banned) HILLS HAVE EYES 2 poster. As you can see the only difference between the two
posters is that the rejected poster has a hand coming out of the bag. We don't know
what's so threatening about that, but I guess the MPAA is just helping to make the world
safer for our children. Since it is in fact the "banned" poster, we decided to go ahead and
use it as our main HILLS HAVE EYES 2 image. This poster will be on our coverage and
maybe even in our review. THE HILLS HAVE EYES 2 hits theatres on
March 2nd, 2007.

The good folks over at Bloody-Disgusting have posted up the first official poster for THE
HILLS HAVE EYES 2. According to the site, the trailer will be attached to prints of

they set off on what they think is a simple rescue mission into the hills - only to find a
tribe of mutants, damaged by nuclear testing, who lie in wait for them.

The sequel to the HILLS remake is directed by Martin Weisz and written by Wes &
Jonathan Craven. THE HILLS HAVE EYES 2 stars Jessica Stroup, Reshad Strik, Michael
McMillian, Daniella Alonso, Lee Thompson Young, Ben Crowley, Eric Edelstein, Michael

The Hills Have Eyes II, which is aiming at a March 2, 2007 release. Smith will be playing
the role of Hades, the lead mutant, while Mears will play his sidekick Chameleon. In the film
a team of National Guard cadets stops over at a desert outpost to deliver equipment to
some military scientists. They arrive at the research camp to find it mysteriously deserted.

Last time we announced that the HILLS HAVE EYES 2 was given a release date for March
2nd, 2007. Now Arrow in the Head has given everyone the official plot. A team of National
Guard cadets stops over at a desert outpost to deliver equipment to some military
scientists. They arrive at the research camp to find it mysteriously deserted. Hearing a
distress call on their walkies, they set off on what they think is a simple rescue mission
into the hills - only to find a tribe of mutants, damaged by nuclear testing, who lie in wait
for them. Does that sound good or what? The new sequel will be directed by Martin Weisz.
The HILLS HAVE EYES 2 is written by Wes and Jonathan Craven.

07/09/06-

Michael J. Bassett, the man who was originally planned to be in the directors chair for the
upcoming HILLS HAVE EYES sequel has dropped out. Fangoria reports that British director
Michael Bassett will not be directing the Wes and Jonathan Craven-scripted HILLS HAVE
EYES remake/sequel.

"I met with Wes and they asked me, but I’m into another project and schedules didn’t
allow it,"
Bassett, who will introduce WILDERNESS at Montreal’s Fantasia festival this
month, tells Fango. German-born director Martin Weisz, who has helmed over 350 music
videos will now tackle the second HILLS. In addition, Pluto actor Michael Bailey Smith will
be returning in the follow-up, even though his character died in the last desert outing; this
time, Smith will play the mutants’ new leader.

04/27/06-

In 1977 Wes Craven brought us The Hills Have Eyes. Then in 1985 he brought us the
sequel Hills Have Eyes 2. Then in 2006 he produced the remake for Hills which was
directed by High Tension helmer Alexandre Aja. The remake grossed more than $40 million
in the states alone and as many of you saw coming there is now word of a sequel.
According to
Fangoria Wes Craven revealed that he and son Jonathan will be writing the
sequel to Alexandre Aja’s The Hills Have Eyes remake, a project currently on the fast track.

“We want to continue the story of the miners,” Craven tells Fangoria. “This time, a group
of National Guard screw-ups come face to face with the mutants on their last day of
training in the desert. We will take the audience underground [into the mines] as well.
The studio, Fox Searchlight, wants the sequel out a year to the day after the last one, so
we have to deliver our script in a matter of weeks.”

This new sequel will have no connection to the 1985 sequel of the Hills Have Eyes. Sadly
it's Alex Aja who has declined to do the sequel to the remake so they're going to be
looking for a new director. The Hills Have Eyes 2 will shoot this summer.
