01/22/08-

According to DVDActive, Lionsgate Entertainment has announced the forthcoming releases
of the Horrorfest 2007 DVDs. The films will be released on
March 18th. These titles will be
branded "8 Films to Die For" and will be available separately for $19.98 or as a boxed set
for $159.84, much like last year. Each have the cover art for each movie but we couldn't
post them all in this article, so we've attached them into every coverage. Just click on the
link to each movie to check 'em out.The first film, CRAZY EIGHTS stars Traci Lords, Dina
Meyer, George Newbern, Gabrielle Anwar, Dan De Luca and Frank Whaley. The film follows
six people brought together by a funeral. They find a map and go on a horrific journey to
find a time capsule. Extra features include: “Miss Horrorfest Contest” Webisodes.
NIGHTMARE MAN (our favorite of the bunch) stars Tiffany Shepis in one of her best
performances to date, Blythe Metz, Luciano Szafir and Richard Moll.

In this film a woman receives a mask, is attacked by a "nightmare man" and people think
she's crazy. Special features will include: extended scenes, a “Creating a Nightmare” –
“making of” featurette, a “Flubbing a Nightmare” gag reel, a “Tiffany’s behind-the-scenes”
featurette, a stills gallery, “Miss Horrorfest Contest” Webisodes and an audio commentary
with actress Tiffany Shepis, director Rolfe Kanefsky and producer Esther Goodstein.
TOOTH AND NAIL is set in a post-apocalyptic world with a small group of survivors taking
refuge in an empty hospital, cue a gang of stalking cannibals and their plans to rebuild
society go out the window. Starring: Rachel Miner, Rider Strong, Michael Kelly, Robert
Carradine, Vinnie Jones and Michael Madsen. The extra feature will be “Miss Horrorfest
Contest” Webisodes. UNEARTHED is what happens when archaeologists dig up a nine-
hundred year old vicious creature in the middle of a desolate town

UNEARTHED DVD features include: “Miss Horrorfest Contest” Webisodes, whilst the film
stars: Emmanuelle Vaugier, Luke Goss, Charles Murphy and Beau Garrett. In THE DEATHS
OF IAN STONE an ordinary guy dies every day, his only hope to escape this unending loop
is to investigate the mystery of his life. Extra features include, “Miss Horrorfest Contest”
Webisodes. This film itself stars: Mike Vogel and Jaime Murray. LAKE DEAD is about a dead
grandfather, three beautiful sisters, inheritance, psychotic family at grandfather's place,
murderous rampage, terror worse than death etc. MULBERRY STREET follows a group of six
whose world is falling apart as people around them are becoming infected and turning into
savage creatures. The films stars Nick Damici, Kim Blair and Ron Brice. Features include:
early director sketches, storyboards, deleted scenes, “Behind the Scenes: The Rats”
featurette, Visual FX test, Makeup tests, Outtakes and yes more “Miss Horrorfest Contest”
Webisodes.

BORDERLAND follows some students on the Mexican border as they stumble upon an
ancient bloody cult hell-bent on finding sacrifice subjects. The film stars Brian Presley,
Rider Strong, Jake Muxworthy and Sean Astin. Extra features include: “Rituales de Sangre
– The True Story Behind the Cult Murder Investigation” featurette, “Inside Zev’s Head: A
Filmmaker’s Diary” featurette, “Miss Horrorfest Contest” Webisodes and an audio
commentary with director Zev Berman, actor Brian Presley, director of photography Scott
Kevan and producer Lauren Moews. All titles have Dolby Digital 5.1 with optional subtitles
in English and Spanish, and English closed captions. Every title is 'R' rated except for Lake
Death and Borderland, which are unrated.

We mentioned earlier that all of the 8 Films to Die For have been announced. Of all of thoe
other movies, there's one we don't have coverage for; until now. We just posted up a
page for the upcoming movie MULBERRY STREET. The film will be shown next month
alongside THE DEATHS OF IAN STONE, NIGHTMARE MAN (
review), UNEARTHED,
FRONTIERS, BORDERLAND, CRAY EIGHTS, LAKE DEAD and TOOTH AND NAIL. MULBERRY
STREET is about a deadly infection that breaks out in Manhattan, causing humans to
devolve into blood-thirsty rat creatures. Six recently evicted tenants must survive the
night and protect their downtown apartment building as the city quickly spirals out of
control.
