Anand Gandhi announces the horror film “Wildebeest” on the occasion of the third anniversary of “Tumbbad”

Filmmaker Anand Gandhi announced his upcoming horror film ‘Wildebeest’ on Tuesday as he celebrated the third anniversary of his critically acclaimed film ‘Tumbbad’.

Gandhi had been a co-writer, creative director and executive producer of the 2018 fantasy horror film.

Directed by Rahi Anil Barve, ” Tumbbad ” featured Sohum Shah as a man searching for hidden treasure in the village of Tumbbad, 20th century British India, Maharashtra. Upon release, the film received rave reviews and numerous awards.

Gandhi said that “Tumbbad” had changed him as a person and that he decided not to limit his art to “rational optimism”.

” It took the most important years of my life to do ‘Tumbbad’ and it changed me – it taught me to allow my inner anxieties and cynicisms to be expressed through the film, and to don’t just limit my art to the rational optimism of my previous work, ” Gandhi said.

“I am now working on another horror story called ‘Wildebeest’,” he added.

Gandhi’s credits also include the 2013 film ‘Ship of Theseus’, which he directed, wrote and produced. Earlier this year, he created and produced the sci-fi comedy series “Ok Computer,” starring Radhika Apte, Vijay Varma and Jackie Shroff, among others.
