DASHCAM Teaser – ‘Host’ Director’s New Horror Movie Arrives In June
Director wild rob broke in 2020 with Shudder’s horror film Zoom Hostand its sequel presented by Blumhouse DASH CAM is now set to release this summer.
Collider reports that DASH CAM will be released in theaters and on demand June 3. This latest screenlife movie captures all the horror and mayhem through a dashcam.
DASH CAM follows “an abrasive musician (Annie Hardy) night, via her livestream, as it takes a dangerous turn when she agrees to help transport a frail elderly woman out of town.
Here’s the full synopsis…
“In the midst of lockdown, musician Annie went live with her fans, taking their feedback and turning it into rap lyrics as she drove through downtown Los Angeles. Enraged by her pandemic lifestyle, Annie escapes to the UK to visit her former bandmate Stretch, broadcasting live all the way. Her arrival and behavior incites disdain from Stretch’s girlfriend, and she causes chaos when she follows his food delivery job.
“After an argument, Annie flees with Stretch’s car and phone, using them to take over her food pickups where she meets a stranger who asks for a delivery of a different kind: a frail elderly woman named Angela who is being followed by someone is trying to hurt them. Annie identifies with Angela’s plight and with the added incentive of an envelope of money, she agrees to deliver Angela to a safe out-of-town address.
“Annie and Stretch soon find themselves caught up in a twisted plan with sinister forces at work, and as the night progresses and chaos sets in, they must fight for their lives against a supernatural creature bent on doing harm. Annie his new host.”
The film also features Angela Enahoro and Amar Chadha Patel.
Hostis wild, Gemma Hurley and Jed Berger wrote the screenplay, with Savage producing alongside Jason Blum and Douglas Cox, and executive producers Hurley, Shepherd and Ryan Turek.
