‘Final Destination’ and ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ Movies Leaving Netflix in May

Written by Rektok Rossthe winter survival thriller ski weekend gets a film adaptation, with Miles Koules and Oren Koules (Seen) teaming up on the next film.

Deadline reports that the young adult thriller is being made for Koulest Productions, a new production company launched by Miles Koules, son of Oren Koules.

ski weekend is the debut novel by former top international lawyer Liani Kotcher, written under the pen name Rektok Ross. It follows six teenagers stranded in the mountains who are forced to make impossible choices about who will live and who will die.

“SKI WEEKEND has a special place in my heart,” said Rektok Ross. “As a teenager myself and now a mother of three stepchildren, it was important to me to tell a story accessible to children and adults about the harms of stereotyping and prejudice against each other, especially in the current climate. I am so excited to work with Oren and Miles because they are true visionaries who understood the heart of this book from the start.

Miles Koules said, “Rektok crafted a fast-paced, timely survival story that keeps you on the edge of your seat until the very end, wondering what you would do to survive. But more than that is its framing of the important issues of today with diverse and layered teenage characters navigating issues of life, death and everything in between. It’s not often you come across a thriller with this level of depth, and I knew from reading the book that it had to be brought to the screen. Can’t wait to show everyone what we’ve been working on!

ski weekend (the novel) was released last October.
