Foo Fighters in “Studio 666” Trailer: Watch – Billboard

Foo Fighters has revealed the first full preview of its upcoming horror comedy Studio 666 Tuesday afternoon (January 11).

The trailer finds the venerable rockers preparing to record their 10th studio album at an Encino mansion that has the scariest vibes but also the best acoustics.

However, when it comes time to write songs for the record, frontman Dave Grohl finds himself running out of original ideas. (“It’s called ‘Everlong’, and you wrote it about 20 years ago,” drummer Taylor Hawkins informs the singer when he introduces his new song to the band.)

Things admittedly get scary as Grohl struggles to overcome the writer’s block that haunts him – with the help of none other than Lionel Richie and possibly the house herself. “Ever since we moved into this house, my mind has been swamped,” he complains, leading the next-door character Whitney Cummings to ominously explain, “It’s not just a spooky rock and roll house; it allows spiritual entities to cross our world.

Cue Grohl becoming demon possessed, going “Flight over a cuckoo’s nest crazy “, levitate in the air and maybe even discover a new musical note on the way to the creation of an album that he promises is” killer “.

Studio 666 is set to hit theaters on February 25 and will star Will Forte, Leslie Grossman, Jenna Ortega, Jeff Garlin, Cummings and many more alongside the Foo Fighters like themselves.

Meanwhile, the band’s real 10th album, Medicine at midnight, was released in February 2021, falling to No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and helping rockers set a new record for most career top 10s on the Rock & Alternative Airplay chart.
