Horror fans are gushing over this Patrick Stewart box office flop
A punk rock band is trapped in the green hall of a concert hall on a neo-Nazi complex and must fight their way through to survive. Directed by Jérémy Saulnier, Green room is one of the most tense movie watching experiences of the past decade.
Fresh out of the critically acclaimed film Blue ruin, Saulnier has become a key name in the indie world and has been chosen by A24 for their next project. Green room open to a lot of rave reviews and still sit 90% on Rotten Tomatoes. Despite the praise and good premise, the film was a total box office failure, grossing just $ 3.8 million against a budget of $ 5 million.
Green room was quickly forgotten but could start to resurface. On Reddit, fans come out and express their respect for the film.
One of the main selling points of the film was Patrick Stewart’s villainous turn as Darcy Banker, the leader of the neo-Nazi group. It was a daring performance by one of the world’s greatest actors.
