Infinite Storm and Three New Original Horror Movies Release This Week

This week isn’t filled with new horror releases like previous weeks, but there are still three new original horror movies coming this week, and they’ll all be available at home. We’re also getting a new survival thriller starring Naomi Wattsbut that’s only in theaters.

Of course, we must also remember that the two Iris K. Shim Ouma and Ti West X are both currently playing in theaters, so if you feel comfortable doing so, come out and support them!

Here are all the new horror releases March 22-27, 2022.


First, Well Go USA released the time loop horror movie 6:45 today (watch a bloody exclusive clip here), which you’ll find on your favorite VOD platform this morning.

What if one of the best days of your life suddenly turns into your worst nightmare? What if you were forced to relive that same day over and over again?

groundhog day meets The sixth sense as a director Craig Singerit’s (Animal Room, Dark Ride, A Good Night to Die) horror thriller 6:45debuting on Digital, Blu-ray and DVD today.

“A couple embark on a weekend getaway to discover the oddly deserted island. After stumbling upon the town’s dark secret, they trigger a time loop, forcing them to relive an insane cycle of terror with seemingly no way to escape.

6:45 stars Michael Reed (Satan’s Brides), Augie Duke (The Amityville Moon), Armen Garo (“Dexter: New Blood”), and Thomas G. Waites (The thing, money train).


The other new horror release for today is deep hateavailable on VOD and Digital.

In the movie, “Cindy returns to her family home after her father’s death and soon realizes that the house holds a terrible secret that puts her and her friends in danger.

Daniela Carvalho and Ale Mc Haddo directed deep hatewhich features Sara Droust (Spirit Thief), Evan Judsonand Jeremy Sless (Operation Varsity Blues).


We jump to Friday, March 25 for these next two releases, starting with the Irish folk horror flick you are not my motheravailable on VOD at home this Friday.

This one is from Magnet Releasing and the director Kate Dolan.

“It’s the week before Halloween. Char’s bedridden mother, Angela, has mysteriously disappeared. All that remains is his abandoned car parked in the middle of a field. When Angela returns home to their North Dublin estate the next evening without an explanation, it becomes clear to Char and her grandmother, Rita, that something is wrong. She may look and sound the same, but Angela’s behavior has become increasingly erratic and creepy, as if she’s been replaced by a malevolent force.

Dolan’s feature debut premiered last year at the Toronto International Film Festival. Our own Joe Lipsett reviewed the film outside of the fest, calling the Halloween folk horror “an assured, confident, thrilling start.”

Infinite Storm Naomi Watts

And finally, Naomi Watts (the ring) survival thriller stars Infinite Stormdirected by Malgorzata Szumowska. Infinite Storm only opens in theaters on Friday, March 25.

“As an experienced mountaineer (Naomi Watts) climbs Mount Washington, she turns around before reaching the summit as a huge blizzard approaches. But on the way down, she encounters a lonely, stranded man and takes upon her to get them both down the mountain before nightfall and succumb to the storm. Infinite Storm is based on a true story.

Billy Howle, Denis O’Hareand Parker Sawyers also star.
