Is Resident Evil (2022) a movie or a series on Netflix?

The latest addition to the Resident Evil franchise has made its debut on Netflix. Since its first game in 1996, this franchise has been part of the lexicon of popular culture for nearly 30 years. It includes books and comics as well as live-action and animated adaptations. Most notable are films starring Milla Jovovich as Alice.

The Netflix adaptation, however, does not follow Alice’s story. Instead, viewers are introduced to a new lead, Ella Balinska as Jade Wesker. Told at two different times, resident Evil (2022) is a creepy action-horror thriller that examines how the T-Virus outbreak emerged in 2022 and where it has pushed humanity by 2036.

Essentially, the globe has become a living hell with zombies roaming the land and society splitting into factions all fighting for survival by any means necessary.

Jade knows that the situation goes beyond an epidemic. How the world became what it is in his universe was no accident or fluke. She is determined to hold accountable those responsible for the horror everyone has experienced. And, Jade will do whatever it takes to make sure of that. Is Resident Evil (2022) on Netflix a movie?

Buckle up! If you’re planning on logging on to Jade Wesker’s adventure, you’ll be set for a long season. resident Evil (2022) is not a movie. At eight episodes, you can watch the series in a day or savor it over a weekend. Considering the magnitude of this tale, it’s a good thing it’s a series and not a movie.
