Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Beauty Gonzalez join the cast of international thriller ‘In My Mother’s Skin’
Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Beauty Gonzales are set to star in the first Philippines-Singapore-Taiwan co-production, horror thriller “In My Mother’s Skin.”
The film is set towards the end of World War II and follows a girl who “trusts a flesh-eating fairy to save her dying mother when she is left in a secluded mansion”, according to the British film magazine. Daily screen yesterday May 20.
“In My Mother’s Skin” features an all-female cast that also includes acclaimed actress Angeli Bayani and teen stage actress Felicity Kyle Napuli.
It is directed by Kenneth Lim Dagatan. It is produced by Bianca Balbuena and Bradley Liew of Epicmedia Productions in the Philippines, Huang Junxiang of Zhao Wei Films of Singapore, Stefano Centini of Volos Films of Taiwan and Lim Teck of Clover Films of Singapore.
Filming for “In My Mother’s Skin” will begin next month. The project received support from the co-production programs of the Film Development Council of the Philippines, the Infocomm Media Development Authority in Singapore, and the Taiwan Creative Content Agency. /ra
