Kevin Bacon Joins John Logan’s Horror Film – Film News |

Kevin Bacon has joined the cast of John Logan’s untitled horror project.

The 63-year-old actor will star and produce the upcoming LGBTQIA + empowerment tale which takes place in a gay conversion camp and also stars Theo Germaine.

John, who won three Oscar nominations for writing the films “Gladiator”, “The Aviator” and the Bond film “Skyfall”, will make his directorial debut on the film Blumhouse – for which he also wrote the screenplay.

Kevin will be involved behind the camera as an executive producer alongside Scott Turner Schofield.

The part marks a return to the horror genre for Kevin as he starred in “Friday the 13th” early in his film career.

Kevin is also set to play a villain in the upcoming “Toxic Avenger” reboot.

The “Footloose” star will join Peter Dinklage, Jacob Tremblay and Taylour Paige in Macon Blair’s “Contemporary Reimagination” of the 1984 film.

Blair wrote the new movie with Lloyd Kaufman and Michael Herz – who created the original – involved as producers for Troma Entertainment.

Peter will star as a disfigured man when he is pushed into a vat of toxic waste. He transforms into a mutant monster but becomes a neglected hero as he runs to save his son, friends, and community from the forces of corruption and greed. Paige was chosen to play the lead female role in the project.

The original film became a cult classic and spawned three sequels, its own music production, a children’s cartoon series, and a Marvel comic book.
