Taiwanese Incantation Found-Footage Horror Heads to Netflix [Trailer]
quiver announced today the acquisition of the award-winning documentary It’s Gwarwhich will begin streaming exclusively on Shudder from July 21, 2022.
It’s GWAR provides a rare insight into the 30+ year career of one of the world’s most outrageous heavy metal bands, GWARknown for their grotesque costumed characters and notoriously wild, fluid-soaked shows. The World of Film had its world premiere at Fantastic Fest in Austin, TX and won the 2021 People’s Choice Award at NIGHTSTREAM.

It’s GWAR is the powerful story of the iconic heavy metal art collective, told by the humans who fought to keep it alive for over thirty years. The feature-length documentary includes interviews with the band’s members, past and present, and other artists, including Bizarre Al Yankovic, Thomas Lenon, alex winter, Bam Margueraand Ethan Embryincluding never-before-seen footage of GWAR’s legendary frontman Dave Brockie (Oderus Urungus).
It’s GWAR is led by Scott Barber (Orange Years: The Nickelodeon Story), with producers Tommy Avallone (Bill Murray Stories) and Josh Goldbloom (V/H/S/94). Executive producers include Bill Parks, Zach Blair, Matthew Helderman and Luke Taylor.
