What’s new on Netflix? Latest TV series and movies coming in October


And as the colder weather sets in in the months to come, more of us will once again be spending more time in front of the TV.

Thanks to Disney +, Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Now TV, we’re spoiled for choice when it comes to TV shows and movies to watch.

And even as the lockdown restrictions loosen, many of us love nothing more than sitting in front of the TV to watch our favorite shows.

Fortunately, Netflix has us covered. The streaming giant has released a whole slew of new shows and movies for October, with more to come throughout the month.

October 1st

  • 27 Steps of May (2018) – A drama about a woman slowly rebuilds her life after a traumatic sexual experience.
  • Anatomy (2000) – Horror about a young medical student discovering a horrible secret.
  • A Sinister Sect: Colonia Dignidad (Season 1) N – Docuseries in Spanish language.
  • Body of Lies (2008) – Thriller directed by Ridley Scott with Leonardo DiCaprio and Russell Crowe.
  • Carlito’s Way (1993) – A former convict is released from prison and sets out to improve. At least that was the plan. Al Pacino stars.
  • Creeped Out (Season 2) – More episodes from the Black Mirror-esque children’s series.
  • Dawn of the Dead (2004) – Zack Snyder’s great Hollywood debut where we follow a group of survivors taking refuge in a mall during the zombie apocalypse.
  • Diana: The Musical (2021) N – A live recording of the Broadway performance on Princess Diana.
  • Effie Gray (2014) – Biopic on the love triangle between John Ruskin, John Everett Millais and Euphemia Gray. With Daktota Johnson.
